Description
SICORP, Inc. has an immediate job opening for a multi-year on-site position in support of a continuing contract at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

The HPC High Performance Computing Operating Systems Analyst position for Los alamos National Labs maintains the complete computer cluster system, including hardware, software, networking and storage for some of the largest and most complex systems the world. Requires in-depth problem-solving analysis as part of a highly skilled team supporting scientific research users.
Duties will include responsibility for management of the HPC systems, including analysis, design, and implementation of upgrades to the system software and configuration management environment in order to improve system performance, correct errors, or fulfill specific requests. Designs and develops software providing new features to the end user. Position participates in planning hardware configurations, developing policy, interacting with vendors, educating end-users, and communicating and collaborating with other teams and projects.

Skills
Experience in system administration and management of production clustered computer systems in a high performance computing environment. Experience diagnosing and developing solutions for complex system problems and programming Unix and Linux shell scripts, Linux Kernel development (esp. PCI-Express), large Parallel file systems (esp. Panasas), InfiniBand and Parallel Application Development in Hybrid Computing Systems. Knowledge of or experience with computer security requirements in a DOE/NN

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Candidate MUST be a Citizen of the United States and must be able to obtain a DOE Q Security Clearance.
Bachelor of Science degree (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in Science or Engineering with strong computer background experience or equivalent.
