Steps in Using a GSA 8(a) STARS II Contract:
- Receive training in the use of the STARS II contract
- Request and receive a delegation of procurement authority
- Issue a task order
- Report contract actions
- Review past performance
Procurement Officers must receive training in the use of 8(a) STARS II and be granted procurement authority. The GSA offers online, onsite, or conference call training (typically a half-day) at no cost. The GSA also offers a Scope Compatibility review and a capabilities statement as optional services at the Procurement Officer's request.
