InfiniBand provides a low latency, high throughput HPC backbone with quality of service, failover capability and scalability, making it an ideal fabric for MPICH, MVAPICH or OpenMPI message passing parallel compute applications.
SICORP was an instrumental technical force behind the InfiniBand-based Roadrunner Cluster, the first PetaFlop HPC cluster in the world, based at Los Alamos National Laboratories. We provide integrated InfiniBand solutions from industry leaders QLogic and Mellanox.
QLogic 12000 Series InfiniBand Switches and HCAs:
The QLogic InfiniBand Switch and HCA products adapt to a wide range of customer HPC environments. Based on the QLogic TrueScale ASIC platform, the 12000 advanced 40Gbps QDR InfiniBand switches offer from 18 to 864 ports, providing the highest port count, port density, and the most flexibility for organizations with continually evolving HPC needs. QLogic switches, in combination with Qlogic's Host Channel Adapters (HCAs), deliver best-in-class scalability, and advanced management capabilities with the it's optional InfiniBand Fabric Suite (IFS) software.
Mellanox Switch Systems and HCAs:
Built with Mellanox's 5th generation InfiniScaleĀ® Silicon, Mellanox switches and HCAs support 20, 40 and 56Gb/s port speeds with switches ranging from 8 ports to 648 ports. Mellanox switches provide high-bandwidth and low-latency to Enterprise Data Centers, High-Performance Computing and Embedded environments. Networks built with Mellanox switch systems can scale to 10s-of-thousands of nodes, and can carry converged traffic with the combination of assured bandwidth and granular quality of service.
